Awards -- CommitteeVoting at the Chapter Annual Meeting on May 3, 2003 at the Pickwick Center, Birmingham, AL confirmed the following Chapter award winners: The 2003 Winner of the Chapter Meritorious Service Award is Marcia Martin, for her achievements in leading the Massage Awareness Week campaign. The Winner of the 2003 Chapter Humanitarian Award is Gayla Henderson for her generous efforts to bring massage experiences to populations who would not otherwise have them. The Winner of the 2003 Chapter Sports Massage Award is Jennifer Zimmerman for her outstanding efforts in support of sports massage at the Olympic Games and statewide athletic venues. Voting at the Chapter Annual Meeting on May 4, 2002 at the Pickwick Center, Birmingham, AL confirmed the following Chapter award winners: The 2002 Winner of the Chapter Meritorious Service Award is Denise Walker, for her inspired leadership as our Chapter President since May of 2000, for building the collaborative team and developing our chapter into an active and enjoyable body serving our members and all the LMT's of Alabama. The 2002 Winner of the Chapter Humanitarian Award is Len Daley, for his steadfast support since 1994 in bringing a team to provide massage services to Stroke Survivors, their care givers and the volunteers supporting an annual Stroke Survivors Camp sponsored by the American Heart Association.
