Category A Provider
Status Renewed
Your AMTA AL Chapter is one of the few AMTA chapters independently established as an NCBTMB Category A Provider organization. Thanks to the initial efforts in 1999 by Robin Shaefer, (a prime candidate for our Chapter Leadership Hall of Fame), who first established our status. During the past year Julia Young Hayes and Len Daley compiled and submitted detailed information on our 54 CE offerings of since 1999. We have received acknowledgement and renewal through October 31, 2004. Our Provider Number is 279061-00.

Ask Bill George from Northport, Joe Bright from
Falkville, Linda Stolarczyk from Montgomery, or Gayla Henderson from Irvington. They (and four other participants) can
tell you about the wonders of water washing over your entire body as you
are gently held, supported and moved through the womblike body temperature
salt water of the natatorium at Victoria’s Waters. Using modalities like Ai Chi, Watsu, and
Water Dancing, massage therapists at the November 2002 Quarterly CE
offering presented by Julia Young Hayes, had a great experiential
introduction to this “new/ancient” frontier of the bodywork world. Aquatic Massage offers tremendous
physiological effects as the water washes over you doing “lymphatic
drainage” like cleansing, as you are nurtured, relaxed and refreshed. Julia is a fully certified Aquatic
Instructor providing monthly Aquatic Massage Training. Contact her at 251-634-3244 for
details.
